button macroPosted by Jeff (Honolulu, United States) on 22 April 2008 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio. I used an extension tube for this image, which required that I rest the hood of my camera right on the table on which the button was placed. I used a tripod, but I probably could have balanced the camera on its hood and still shot this one. Lighting was provided by a small flash light that I used to "paint" the surface of the button as the hood blocked out other light from the room. The background is a black velvet cloth. ISO 100, 9 seconds, f/22.0, e.c. 0, 40mm of 17-40mm, with a 36mm extension tube This site is the sister of "Aloha Photo" which is a much more extensive photo site and can be viewed at http://alohaphoto.my-expressions.com/index.html. Often images are posted in both places, but aloha photo has been in operation since 2004, so it has many more photographs.
