succulent details

Posted by Jeff (Honolulu, United States) on 30 January 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

This photo was made on my Makapu'u Point photo shoot. It shows detail from a succulent growing along the path to the top of the point. This swirling form of the plant is repeated in many similar plants growthing among rocks and in fields on the hillside. They are a low growing plant, perhaps four or five inches high at most.

This site is the sister of "Aloha Photo" which is a much more extensive photo site and can be viewed at http://alohaphoto.my-expressions.com/index.html. Often images are posted in both places, but aloha photo has been in operation since 2004, so it has many more photographs. If you are interested in Hawaii please feel free to visit my other photoblog.
