high key still lifePosted by Jeff (Honolulu, United States) on 16 December 2007 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. This vase of roses was on a glass table in my home. One morning after clearing breakfast dishes away I noticed the placemat and napkin and thought they and the roses made a nice still life image. I processed it as a high key image because I liked the way the glass table top disappeared, leaving only the edge of the table and the reflection of the vase. I find the negative space appealing. ISO 100, 30s, f/29.0, e.c. +1, 31mm of 18-55mm Image genre: High key black and white photograph This site is the sister of "Aloha Photo" which is a much more extensive photo site and can be viewed at http://alohaphoto.my-expressions.com/index.html. Often images are posted in both places, but aloha photo has been in operation since 2004, so it has many more photographs.
