palm frond macro

Posted by Jeff (Honolulu, United States) on 15 December 2007 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

This single palm frond photo was made in a park in Honolulu. The tree was perhaps fifteen feet tall and stood in the shade of much taller trees. The frond was head-high, so I was able to make a pretty good macro image simply by walking up close to the young tree.

ISO 100, 1/320s, f/4.5, e.c. 0, 100mm of 70-300mm

Image genre: Black and white photo

This site is the sister of "Aloha Photo" which is a much more extensive photo site and can be viewed at http://alohaphoto.my-expressions.com/index.html. Often images are posted in both places, but aloha photo has been in operation since 2004, so it has many more photographs.
