high key portrait

I'm a believer that photographers should get in front of the camera every now and then, if for no other reason than to put themselves in the place of their usual subjects. Fair is fair. Also, since most of us are a bit self-conscious, learning to take your own photo with the aid of a tripod and timer (with or without a mirror) will help you learn how to present a portrait in a pleasing manner. We are, after all, our own worst critics. Needless to say, this is a self-portrait.

This site is the sister of "Aloha Photo" which is a much more extensive photo site and can be viewed at http://alohaphoto.my-expressions.com/index.html. Often images are posted in both places, but aloha photo has been in operation since 2004, so it has many more photographs. If you are interested in Hawaii please feel free to visit my other photoblog.
