turret stairway

This stairway is part of a turret on an old building located a small block from the docks in Honolulu. It's a commercial building, but has no sign posted at this entrance, so I am unsure of its current use. This image was made about 45 minutes before sundown on a cloudy day, which accounts for the muted shadows. The minimalist presentation of the door, window and stairway, along with the texture of the walls and abstract form created by the lines of the stairway are what appeal to me.
