pub life

In this photograph the focus is on the more mundane, usually ignored part of the scene, with the footprints and tractor tread marks being emphasized at the expense of the more brilliant, blue water and orange sky. The image invites the viewer to experience the whole scene, not just the "prettiest" parts. All the lines run horizontally, so there is nothing leading your eye towards the background. There is no boat or people to draw your attention. Only the colors compel one to look to the background, but not until you've noticed the tracks in the sand.
